Partner
At Pyramid:

Anne is Pyramid's managing partner and lead strategist on many conservation, health and healthcare, education, human service and arts and culture projects. She specializes in guiding groups through strategic planning processes and coaching nonprofit leaders, helping organizations define and then maximize impact. This often involves developing communications strategies that connect and move people to action, designing effective fundraising strategies, creating distinctive brands and helping organizations telling their stories through a variety of mediums—from print to web, video to social networking. She also moderates and facilitates conferences, symposia and listening sessions for local and national groups.

Anne's clients have included the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Pacific Science Center, Grantmakers for Education, PeaceHealth, Center for Ethical Leadership, Improving Chronic Illness Care (The MacColl Institute), Northwest Health Foundation and the Wildlands Network.

After Hours:

Anne spends time on the yoga mat with and without her daughter, Sophia. She also swims, cooks, walks on the beach where she grew up, serves on the boards of Northwest conservation organizations, and reads as much fiction and poetry as she can. Between family, pets, work and volunteering, that often amounts to a page or poem a day, if she's lucky.

Background:

Anne joined Pyramid in 1993 and has helped it grow from just a few people to a staff of more than 40. She is a Seattle native and holds degrees in English and international studies from the University of Washington. After college, Anne restored Craftsman houses, traveled, and worked on local and statewide political campaigns until fatefully running into John Hoyt one morning at a political fundraiser.
