At Pyramid: 

Chris creates engaging and effective media campaigns for a variety of clients at Pyramid. He has worked with The Seattle Foundation, Seattle’s Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, The Wallace Foundation, Native Arts & Cultures Foundation and the Bellevue Arts Commission.

After Hours: 

Away from the office, Chris loves to explore the San Juan Islands with his two sons, daughter and beautiful wife. He also takes great satisfaction from diving deep into the musical worlds of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. His history in nonprofit work includes two tours with AmeriCorps-VISTA, which involved being placed at a Philadelphia food bank, trips leading youth groups to Cuba and volunteering with homeless teens in Seattle’s University District.

Background: 

Chris is also principal and writer at Campaign Shoutin’ Communications, where he develops and conveys his clients’ stories with power and efficiency. At Campaign Shoutin’, he has crafted marketing materials and media campaigns for clients including the city of Seattle’s Office of Film + Music, Sub Pop Records and Honor The Earth.
 
Before launching Campaign Shoutin’, he cultivated an award-winning career in music journalism, penning 2,000 pieces for the likes of The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Chicago Tribune and other outlets. In 2000, he won Scripps Howard’s National Journalism Award for sonicnet.com’s year-long investigative series, “Playing With Fire: The Untold Story of Woodstock ’99.”
 
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in English from James Madison University.
