Denise Rhiner

Senior Project Manager
At Pyramid:

Denise suffuses keen analytical and editorial skills into a wide array of communications projects.
She evaluates the communications and structure of organizations to develop tailored strategies, brands and tools. She helps organizations craft communications plans and messaging informed by the knowledge of where they are and where they really want to go. As part of the editorial team at Pyramid, she frequently helps organizations tell their story in print materials and on websites.

Denise recently worked with Building Changes, the Capitol Hill Housing Foundation, Full Life Care and Social Justice Fund Northwest, creating messages to powerfully tell their stories to donors. She has created communications plans for clients such as Northwest Kidney Centers and the Pacific Science Center. She also recently worked with the Society for Ecological Restoration and Justice Policy Institute to redefine their brands.

After Hours:

Outside of Pyramid, Denise is a nature geek and foodie. She hunts for wild mushrooms, cultivates an edible garden, watches birds and appreciates all small things in nature, including lichens, ants and sea slugs. On weekends, she shares her enthusiasm as a docent at Discovery Park, Seattle's largest park and most magnificent urban natural area. She pursues exceptional food experiences and tries to recreate them at home, sometimes successfully.

Background:

Prior to joining Pyramid, Denise was an independent information consultant in Portland, OR, providing research and writing services to authors, publishers and corporations, especially those working in the education field.

Denise holds a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from Reed College.
