Emilie Engelhard
Emilie draws on her professional experience in media and brings expertise in research, writing and editing. She enjoys helping clients advance their work through crafting project-specific stories, developing compelling messages and facilitating strategic planning efforts.
Emilie supports the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Food & Fitness initiative where she writes and provides direct communications technical assistance and planning support to nine communities across the country. Additional clients include the Children’s Alliance, Active Living Research and CANfit, among others.
Since moving to Seattle with her husband, who is pursuing his master’s in landscape architecture at the University of Washington, Emilie has enjoyed exploring the city through a combined effort of foodie pilgrimages and aimless wanderings.
Prior to joining Pyramid, Emilie worked for a variety of media outlets, including GQ, The Nation and NPR affiliate Michigan Radio. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the Residential College at the University of Michigan with a dual concentration in arts & ideas and French, and has a master’s degree in religious studies from the University of Chicago Divinity School.
