Media Relations Project Associate
At Pyramid:
Johanna supports Pyramid’s media department. Working as the liaison between clients and members of the print and broadcast media, Johanna writes and edits press materials in order to place news stories and publicize events. Using a series of new web technologies, Johanna maximizes the distribution of these materials in order to make sure her clients reach as many media outlets as possible. Johanna also manages quarterly newsletter for a law firm and writes and places advertising.
Johanna’s most recent work includes ongoing media relations for Service Employees International Union Local 925, The Seattle Foundation, the Seattle Aquarium, The Workforce Alliance, the Messina Bulzomi Christensen law firm and Delorie Johnson Lawyers.
After Hours:
Johanna enjoys the simple fact that she lives in her hometown. She likes playing and watching sports—specifically basketball, football and softball—and taking advantage of Seattle’s amazing nightlife and concerts. She feels nothing could be better than spending her free time exploring the city with her friends.
Background:
Johanna holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology, with a minor in rhetoric and film, from Whitman College.
