Karen Whistler

Designer
At Pyramid:

Karen brings experience in graphic design, brand development and marketing to Pyramid’s design team. She strives to translate an organization's personality into compelling design and is interested in how individual details fit into a brands greater story. Since joining Pyramid, Karen has designed materials for McCann Complete Streets, Lakeside School and others.

After Hours:

Karen enjoys keeping the creativity flowing. She is always trying to find time for painting, printmaking and photography. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, working out at the gym—swimming especially—and adventures in cooking.

Background:

Before Pyramid Karen worked at Ascentium, an interactive agency, as the brand and marketing designer. Before that she designed business-to-business collateral, advertising and marketing campaigns for large corporations like Expedia and local businesses such as Brown Bear Car Wash. At the start of her career, she held internships at organizations ranging from a global non-profit, to a local city office to a record label. Karen has bachelor's degrees in visual communication and studio arts from Seattle Pacific University.
