Karis Cady
As one of Pyramid’s lead graphic designers, Karis creates artful yet functional materials for a wide range of clients. She specializes in branding and print materials ranging from billboards and posters, to reports and stationary, and she particularly enjoys illustration.
Some of Karis’ recent design work includes Anchorage Museum’s new brand and campaign, materials for Evergreen Business Capital, a new look for Council for Children and Families, INTIMAN Theatre’s Dramatically Different case statement and NELA’s workbook for students.
Karis puts her library card to good use, reading several books a week. She enjoys camping and hiking with her husband and small children. Being in the mountains automatically lifts her spirits.
Though she’s been at Pyramid for years, Karis previously worked as a freelance photographer and designer. She also worked for CityCURE and Sign of the Cross Housing, two Cincinnati nonprofits that serve low-income residents of Over-the-Rhine, where she grew up. Karis earned her bachelor’s degree in art and anthropology from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN.
