Kevin Patnik
Kevin’s love of research, writing and looking at the big picture combine with a strong marketing background to drive his work at Pyramid. Kevin’s job ranges from proposal development, business development planning and marketing strategy to greasing the wheels of the department with tracking and resource management.
Kevin spends as much time as he can at home on Vashon with his partner, two horses and two cats. An animal lover, Kevin dreams of a parallel life in which he runs a rescue facility. He loves growing things, building things, reading, cooking and eating.
Before joining Pyramid, Kevin was marketing director at Seattle Weekly, where he developed marketing platforms for the paper and produced promotional events. Before joining the Weekly, Kevin spent two years as marketing director at Bumbershoot and the (sadly) now defunct Summer Nights concert series, where he directed advertising creative and developed promotions. Kevin kicked off his career as marketing director at The Stranger, where he worked for eight years. He has also done freelance copy writing for clients including Getty Images, developed retail co-op advertising programs and media plans for Easy Street Records, and managed the international syndication of Dan Savage’s renowned Savage Love advice column. He has also written about books, graphic design and music for The Stranger and Seattle Sound magazine.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in media studies from The Pennsylvania State University.
