Kevin Patnik
As Director of Pyramid’s editorial team, Kevin is responsible for developing brand and campaign stories, writing positioning statements and creating taglines, slogans and message frameworks. Kevin is a versatile writer, producing everything from ad copy to annual reports. His clients include the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, KEXP, Cornish College of the Arts, Art with Heart, Pacific Science Center and the University of Puget Sound. Kevin is also Pyramid’s chief marketing copywriter.
Before joining Pyramid, Kevin was marketing director at Seattle Weekly, where he was creative director of the paper’s marketing, sales and promotional initiatives. Prior to his time at the Weekly Kevin spent two years as marketing director at Bumbershoot and the Summer Nights concert series, where he directed advertising creative and promotions. He kicked off his career at The Stranger, where he worked for eight years in both the editorial and marketing departments.
Kevin has worked as creative director and copywriter on projects with many Seattle-based graphic designers. He has done brand and campaign story development for small arts organizations like Open Satellite, nonprofits like the San Antonio Botanical Gardens and large corporations like Getty Images Entertainment. He has written about books, graphic design and music for The Stranger and Seattle Sound magazine (now City Arts).
Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in media studies and English from The Pennsylvania State University.
