At Pyramid: 

Drawing on her background in international client services and media relations, Kirsten manages strategic communications for one of Pyramid’s largest clients, Sealaska. As part of her work, Kirsten oversees Sealaska’s media and government relations, branding, Alaska Native outreach, cultural projects and online communications. She is also rolling up her sleeves to facilitate the development of a strategic plan for the Nordic Heritage Museum as they prepare to build a new museum.

After Hours: 

Kirsten has been serving the community as a Girl Scout since first grade. She keeps her finger on the pulse of global politics through her involvement in the Japan America Society and as a board member of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington. She also serves on the Sushi Sake Festival planning committee, which organizes the fundraiser for Densho, the Japanese American Legacy Project. Kirsten likes to tap dance.

Background: 

From traditional culture to politics to sports, Kirsten holds more than a decade of experience with US–Japan relations. Prior to joining Pyramid, Kirsten worked for the Seattle Mariners and the World Baseball Classic as a media relations officer and interpreter for Ichiro Suzuki and the Japanese press corps. Kirsten spent the previous six years in Japan starting her career by spearheading educational outreach for the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and later as special VIP guest liaison at Park Hyatt Tokyo.

Kirsten grew up in the Seattle area, and holds a bachelor’s degree in East Asian languages and cultures from Barnard College of Columbia University.
