Nonprofit Marketing Expertise on Tap: Beth Kanter in Seattle!
If there’s one person who comes to mind when nonprofit marketers need a “guru,” it’s Beth Kanter (bethkanter.org). These days her social media expertise, in particular, keeps us all dialed in to her blog posts and speaking gigs. Beth has been named one of the most influential women in technology by Fast Company, is one of BusinessWeek’s “Voices of Innovation for Social Media,” is a visiting scholar with The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, AND (to our benefit!) is a speaker and trainer. Her most recent book is Measuring the Networked Nonprofit.
Pyramid is honored to be one of the organizations hosting her for a variety of events during her upcoming mid-February Seattle visit. We will be distributing 10 tickets for members of the nonprofit marketing community via Twitter on Monday, February 4. Here are the details:
Event: Beth Kanter Bagel Breakfast at Pyramid
Date: February 11, 2013
Time: 8:00 – 9:30 am
Location: Pyramid Communications, 1932 First Avenue, Suite 507, Seattle
Pyramid has 10 seats open to members of the Seattle nonprofit marketing community for this intimate gathering. In keeping with the theme of leveraging social media for good, we will distribute these available tickets via Twitter (@PyramidComms ) on Monday, February 4th – so mark your calendars!
In addition to enjoying bagels together, Beth will speak for twenty minutes, and then answer questions and sign books. Note: In a very non-digital way, we will have books available to purchase at the event for those who bring, specifically, an old-fashioned paper check made out to Elliott Bay Books in the amount of $30.62 (a discount from full price, plus tax).
To keep track of the action – from now through her two-day visit – look for #KanterSEA on Twitter. And, remember to watch that hashtag and the @PyramidComms Twitter feed on February 4th to get your chance to join her for breakfast in our downtown office!
