When Native Lens, a program of Seattle-based Longhouse Media, invited three Swinomish teenagers to make a film, the boys considered making a rap video or a gangster film. When they were asked instead to examine the impact of two oil refineries on their land, March Point was the inspiring result.

Obama emphasized his support for Native causes and gave tribal leaders the chance to share their concerns with administration officials.
