More than 20 years ago, a grassroots group of social workers began raising money to fund the kind of normal childhood experiences that fall outside the scope of what DSHS typically provides. Today, Treehouse is a public-private partnership that serves more than 4,000 foster children each year with enrichment and education programs aimed at helping kids flourish now and throughout their lives.
