Road to success stories
Job security isn’t what it used to be: the average worker today changes careers seven times in the course of a lifetime. Retraining has become the only hope for thousands of adults during the economic downturn—and for young people entering the workforce, job readiness is crucial.
This is where community colleges come in, providing career training for all ages. When the Oregon Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development (CCWD) sought a partner to create compelling public service announcements for its Career Pathways programs, it turned to Pyramid for help in driving Oregonians to seek the training necessary to move forward in their careers.
We worked with community colleges across Oregon to uncover inspiring success stories of individuals whose community college education led them to career opportunities they might have otherwise missed. We highlighted these stories in fast-paced and engaging TV and radio spots that encouraged Oregonians to take the next step on their career paths.
The public service announcements began running in early 2009, with the objective of increasing the number of students entering community colleges with specific career goals.
